As hurricane Irma churns its way towards south Florida, employees at the club have worked extremely hard to prepare for the worst. On the golf course, steps have been taken to help get the water off as quickly as possible. All loose material has been removed and secured. The 30 irrigation satellites have been cover/taped to help prevent water damage. Due to recent grassing the golf course irrigation system must remain on as long as possible. On Saturday the final steps will be taken to secure the pump station. The main incoming power will be shut down and the system depressurized. All power to the controllers will also be turned off. The maintenance facility has been secured, as much equipment as possible has been placed inside. All loose material has been secured. Limited staff will be coming in for 1/2 day on Friday to finish up a couple small tasks. After the storm has passed and it is safe to get out on the roads I will make the trek to the club to asses any damage and begin the clean up.
